WHAT IS A COLLABORATOR?

At Vandermeer Hair, a collaborator is an independent hair professional who works within our shared creative space. They run their own business while being part of our vibrant, like-minded community.

Each collaborator manages their own bookings directly. To secure an appointment, you’ll book with your chosen stylist through their individual booking link.

Because each collaborator operates as their own business, pricing may differ from stylist to stylist. All rates are set by the individual hair professional you choose to work with.

  • CARLY VAN DER MEER
    FOUNDER / DIRECTOR / DESTINATION BRIDAL HAIRSTYLIST

    Carly Van der Meer has over 15 years of experience, originally from the Southern Highlands she then trained in Sydney’s top salons. In 2017 she opened Vandermeer Hair which has been a home to many loyal clients and expert Hairdressers. Carly specialises in colouring and rebuilding hair integrity. Highly skilled in colour corrections, lived in colour techniques, brightening blondes and formulating colours to achieve the perfect result. With a focus on precision, detail, and effortless style, Carly also loves cutting sleek bobs and long, natural hair to create healthy, wearable looks that age beautifully. In addition to her salon work, Carly is a sought-after Bridal Hairstylist, working with Australia’s best during the bridal season and also working as an International Hairstylist looking after brides across Europe.

    CREATIVE DIRECTOR – MATT BARRITT HAIR

    With a calm, thoughtful approach and a keen eye for detail, Matt Barritt is a haircutting specialist, colourist, and men’s hairdresser known for creating looks tailored to the individual. Now working independently from Vandermeer Hair’s collaborative creative space, Matt brings 18 years of experience, technical precision, and an easygoing energy to every appointment.

    Matt is available for bookings at Vandermeer Hair on a Wednesday – Saturday.

  • DARREN SUMMORS
    CREATIVE DIRECTOR / EDITORIAL HAIRSTYLIST

    Darren Summors is a precision cutter, editorial stylist, and international Fashion Week regular. With nearly two decades in the industry, he regularly works with VOGUE, top fashion houses, and a roster of high-profile celebrities. Known for his sharp eye and clean, modern style, Darren also mentors emerging talent through education and training.

    Available in salon every Sunday.

    CREATIVE DIRECTOR – INA MOON HAIR

    Originally from Germany, Ina brings 19 years of experience shaped by her work in salons across Europe, including Germany, Switzerland, and Ireland. She has a passion for big colour transformations, whether it’s blondes, pastels, rich coppers, or vibrant rainbows and loves working with natural texture, curls, and precision haircuts. Every person who sits in her chair is met with warmth, care, and a wearable style tailored just for them. At Ina Moon Hair, appointments are a moment to pause from the everyday, complete with aromatherapy, an over the moon head massage, and a space where all are welcome to simply be themselves.
